Who will benefit: People who are new to the training field or who have had no formal training and would benefit from understanding the training cycle, in particular the design and delivery stages.

Objectives: By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Identify and analyse training needs

Explain how people learn (3 learning styles)

Design an interactive training course,

Use a range of skills, methods and behaviours to develop learners’ knowledge and participation when delivering training

Provide effective feedback

Workplace Trainer

Who will benefit: Anyone who is responsible for on the job, one-to-one or small group occupational training, whether the training be manual, operational or sales-based.

Objectives: By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Recognise the role of the work-based trainer in an overall learning context

• Carry out an occupational job/task analysis

• Produce a training programme

• Overcome barriers to learning

• Prepare, deliver and evaluate a training session

• Assess learners’ training outcomes against objectives and give feedback

• Evaluate occupational training programmes against objectives

Workplace Assessor

Who will benefit: Anyone who is responsible for the development and and delivery of assessment strategies in the workplace

Objectives: By the end of the course the participants will be ale to:

  • unpack a training package for assessment
  • develop appropriate assessment instruments
  • conduct the assessment
  • apply appropriate interpersonal skills to assessment process
  • document the assessment in suffiicient detail for an AQTF audit
  • understanfd principles of assessment in AQTF framework
